Love Island viewers have been left baffled all season as to why the contestants tend to wear sunglasses while they relax in bed after waking up.
In some of the episodes, when the camera pans around the bedroom in the morning, almost all of the ITV2 stars donned their best shades as they enjoy a snuggle under the covers.
It seems like the mystery as to why they wear sunglasses has certainly caught the attention of a number of viewers, who have taken to social media to express their confusion.
"Why does everyone on Love Island go to bed, and wake up in sunglasses?? I’m confused," wrote one Love Island fan.
Another added: "I can’t get over the sunglasses in bed lmaoo #LoveIsland."
Although some viewers were 'confused' by the reality stars' unusual fashion choices, others have suggested that there is a perfectly reasonable explanation behind choosing to shield their eyes first thing.
It appears that several fans of the show are theorising that the lights in the bedroom are so bright that the contestants have to use shades as they adjust their eyes in the morning.
"Them all wearing sunglasses in bed are the lights really that bright #LoveIsland," wrote one viewer.
Another viewer suggested: "I wondered this but I reckon it’s the bright lights. I have terrible migraines and sunglasses in the morning is the only thing that shields the glare!"
However, there were some other suggestions floating about as to why they choose to wear shades in bed. Some social media profiles suggested that it was to stop cameras from spotting whether their eyes were wandering.
Setting the record straight, former Love Island star Elma Pazar revealed on social media that the lights really are that bright. But she also added that some islanders wanted to hide their morning appearances.
"The light is so bright when it flicks on and also I don’t know many people that wake up pretty in the mornings, the more of the face hidden before it’s washed the better," she responded on Twitter.
Love Island viewers were thrilled to hear that Casa Amor is finally upon us and brimming with a host of sexy singletons that might be turning some heads in the villa.
Just one day into their stay at Casa Amor, it appears that the Love Island boys are certainly enjoying themselves as they get to know the six bombshells.
