Why did Molly-Mae take Tommy Fury back? Everything to know from Behind It All Part 2

It’s been almost five months since the first part of influencer Molly-Mae Hague’s documentary on Amazon Prime, Behind It All, aired. Back then, she had split with her Love Island lover — and father of her child — boxer Tommy Fury.

The tabloids were ablaze with stories of a New Year’s Eve snog, but the show refused to give her fans answers. Though she wanted to get back with him, the path ahead was rocky. While all signs currently point to the pair being reunited, confusion about the situation is rife.

Now the long-awaited second part of Molly-Mae: Behind It All has arrived. With the couple seemingly back together, what more have we learned?

Molly-Mae’s sister is against it

Much of the first fourth episode focuses on Molly-Mae’s battered self-confidence. She refuses the invitation to walk the L’Oreal catwalk at Paris Fashion Week alongside Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner, citing her post-baby body.

Speaking to her life coach, Molly-Mae says she can’t plan her perfect future without knowing what will happen with her and her ex fiancé.

Her sister Zoe, who previously persuaded the social media to dissolve her excessive filler, is baffled. Why does she want to get back together with the man who, as their mother says, has caused “drama”? It almost causes a rift between them when they row in the car.

That New Year’s kiss was supposed to be private

By the end of the first episode, Molly-Mae realises her clandestine smooch with Fury has made the front pages. When her friends call, she insists it was a spur of the moment thing.

Her ex showed up at a party just ten minutes before midnight, she says, and she thought it was fine to share a smooch with the father of her child. Only someone was filming — and sold it to the papers.

Molly-Mae is annoyed but also baffled, curious to know how much the wannabe pap got paid by The Sun (who published the video) and suggesting that karma will get them. She also feels sorry for 17-year-old darts champion Luke Littler, whose shock win was knocked out of the headlines by the secret smooch.

Getting back on the horse

In episode 5, Molly-Mae pursues her hobby taking horse riding lessons. But she’s unnerved by the presence of paparazzi photographers trying to get a shot of her.

After telling them to skedaddle, she has a terrifying moment where the horse speeds up and she loses control, ultimately being thrown and hitting a fence post hard on the dismount.

Luckily, her helmet and body armour saved her a more serious injury, although she admits she was worried it could be a “hospital job”. Despite the bruising — and her fear that Tommy will say “I told you so” — with the encouragement of her instructor she gets back on the horse. A metaphor for sticking with tricky situations?

She’s still processing her post-birth trauma

Hague reportedly told Fury to stop partying and focus more on their daughter Bambi (Instagram/Molly-Mae Hague)

While prepping for daughter Bambi’s second birthday, Molly-Mae reflects on the stressful experience she had when her daughter was a newborn.

Tommy was away at training camp, so Zoe moved in to help her get through those difficult first few weeks. Breast-feeding was a struggle, and Molly-Mae — like many new mums — was driven to the edge by sleep deprivation.

It brought the sisters closer, but as Bambi’s second birthday party approaches, her mother worries that Tommy might be a no-show.

Tommy skips Bambi’s second birthday party

Molly-Mae choreographed a dream birthday party for Bambi, complete with the theme of The Tiger Who Came To Tea.

Tommy drops Bambi off from her Tummy Time class, but declines to come inside after a tense conversation behind the driveway gates.

While she puts on a brave face for her daughter, and Zoe gamely dressed up in a tiger suit, it all becomes too much when Bambi calls for her daddy.

After a tearful moment upstairs, Molly-Mae returns to present her homemade horse-themed cake for her daughter. Her parents fret over how hard it is for the influencer to go through these milestones alone, and voice their hopes the couple could reconcile in the future.

Rizzing in the blizzard

Molly-Mae rides out a blizzard during a trip to St Moritz shooting content for a brand. The first day is a white-out of stress, with the team trying to snap the influencer before the heavy snow turns her hair to the texture of a “damp dog”.

Luckily the next day is crystal clear with plenty of fresh snow as a backdrop. During a video call between takes, Tommy turns the charm on, asking Molly-Mae to keep the camera front facing (he prefers the view of her) and telling her that “he wants to see that face for eternity”.

Molly-Mae recalls the happy memories the pair shared in the Swiss ski resort, and asks her ex to book them the romantic getaway he promised. She signs off the call with “love you” and he leaves her hanging — but when she calls him back he responds “I love you”.

Coffee for two?

As Molly-Mae plans a coffee-themed event, she reveals that while she and Tommy are not officially back together they are having regular sleepovers.

While the influencer says her happiness is returning as her romantic relationship heals, she worries that it has caused a distance with her older sister Zoe, who still disapproves.

The sisters decide to clear the air with a therapeutic Irish dancing class.

Zoe admits she’s happy for Molly-Mae, but voices her fears that Tommy still hasn’t stopped drinking. Molly-Mae says she’s certain that Tommy is “serious” about their relationship now. Zoe says she hopes he will prove her wrong and treat her sister well this time.

Reunited in Dubai

We’ve already seen it on social media, but yes, Molly-Mae and Tommy made it official (again) on holiday in Dubai with Bambi.

There’s no footage, but the influencer confirms it all on camera. “Dubai was perfect,” she says. “It literally just felt like everything I wanted and more. It was exactly what we needed.” They even extended their trip for three more days.

While she says they’re not rushing it, the couple are gradually knitting their lives back together — and Molly-Mae hopes they will have more children together.

Molly-Mae: Behind It All is airing now on Amazon Prime.
