Why did Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea split five weeks after winning Love Island?

Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea have reportedly called it quits just five weeks after winning Love Island together.

But why has their romance come to an end?

It's been reported that Amber was left heartbroken when Greg savagely dumped her in a text message.

A source told The Sun : "Greg has broken up with Amber and is blaming their busy schedules and now they want to focus on their careers.

"Amber feels used by Greg. He was always aware of the distance and his career in their relationship, and yet he chose to seek out Amber in the villa knowing there would always be the distance.

"He hasn't made any effort to come to London to see Amber, despite it being over five weeks, it's always Amber who had to make the effort."

It's also said that Geordie beauty Amber, 22, was travelling to Dublin today to reunite with Irish rugby player Greg, 24.

The insider claimed Amber had been worried Greg was going to dump her, and that she's "devastated" by the way he did it.

They say it's only when she confronted Greg that he told her how he was feeling and called off their romance.

Things reportedly hadn't been the same between Amber and Greg since they left the villa, and now, Amber is planning to throw herself into her career.

Amber last shared a picture of her and Greg together just four days ago.

Her Instagram post included two loved up snaps of them sitting on the desk of a boat together.

She captioned it: "My babes // Squinty squinterson Miss ya"

Greg hadn't shared a picture of him and Amber on his account since August 18.

In the snap, the pair posed up outside a posh country club, with Greg using the post to thank the venue for making his visit with Amber so special.

Mirror Online has contacted Amber and Greg's representatives for comment.
