Why did Ahed Tamimi accept a plea deal?

Palestinian teenage girl Ahed Tamimi, who was filmed kicking and slapping an Israeli soldier in the occupied West Bank, has accepted a plea deal.

Ahed Tamimi will spend eight months in prison alongside some 300 other minors in Israeli jails.

Al Jazeera's Hoda Abdel-Hamid met her family to find out why she agreed to the deal.
