Why Dele Alli and Juan Foyth are missing from Spurs' squad against Inter Milan

Tottenham face Inter Milan at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in their final pre-season game of 2019 this afternoon.

The team named by Mauricio Pochettino is a fairly strong one but the full squad saw two of Spurs' bigger name players miss out.

Both Dele Alli and Juan Foyth were left out of the entire match squad by Mauricio Pochettino with only a few days before the start of the Premier League season.

Victor Wanyama, Eric Dier, and Serge Aurier have also been left our of the match squad.

As a result of Foyth and Serge Aurier missing out, Kyle Walker-Peters was picked to start at right-back, with limited cover from the bench.

Tottenham have confirmed that both Dele and Foyth have missed out on the game due to injury concerns.

Foyth is out due to an ankle problem, while Dele has a hamstring issue.

Spurs fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this afternoon will get to see some of their star names though, with record signing Tanguy Ndombele making his home debut in the centre of midfield.

Harry Kane starts up front for Spurs, with Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela also in the side.

Heung-Min Son will start from the bench as does Christian Eriksen, with Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks joining Ndombele in midfield.

Spurs play their first Premier League game of the season next Saturday at home against Aston Villa at 5.30pm.
