The Washington Commanders (3-3) at the New York Giants (1-5) could be ugly, really ugly.
Why might this game, in particular, be frustrating to watch?
If you are tuning in wanting to see a lot of offense, this might not be the game for you.
For starters, the Giants are dead last in yards per offensive play (4.1). Though the Commanders are better here than the Giants, they are still in the bottom third (21st) averaging 4.9 per play.
Just when they do get some drives going, the Commanders and Giants quarterbacks have been tending to either throw interceptions or find their quarterback taking losses via quarterback sacks.

Both the Giants and Commanders are in the bottom half of the league when it comes to passing the ball to the opponents, both teams having thrown six interceptions in their six games.
Here is where the game could be at its worst. Each team’s fan base could be so frustrated watching their quarterbacks be sacked. In only six games, the Commanders’ quarterback has been sacked 34 times, and the Giants’ is only one sack better at 33. Both of these numbers are horrible. How horrible? Only two other teams have more than 20 sacks: the Bears (25) and the Titans (23).

Consequently, it stands to reason, that these two teams have the distinction of owning the highest percentage of their quarterbacks being sacked when attempting to pass. The Commanders are 31st at 13.7 percent, and the Giants dead last at 14.0 percent.
Certainly, Commanders Wire is hoping for a Washington victory on Sunday. Yet, we also realize at times, this game may be difficult to enjoy.
