The Arizona Cardinals have selected former Oklahoma Quarterback Kyler Murray with the 1st overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The talented quarterback has had quite a journey up to this point as he was a former top ten pick in baseball before deciding to declare for this draft. He is an electric athlete who can change the course of a game in an instant. He has an absolute cannon for an arm and can make every throw asked of him to make. Outside of his size (just 5’10” 207 pounds), he is a really talented quarterback with a ton of upside.
For the Cardinals, taking the chance on Murray could turn out to be quite beneficial. The decision may seem risky since they traded up for Josh Rosen last year, but Murray could be the franchise guy they’ve needed for years. He has all the ability to change their franchise and be a game breaker for them.
With Kliff Kingsbury as their new head coach and weapons such as David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald, he could excel in the Cardinals’ offense and become a star player for the team.
