Why Bucs fans should be excited about Sean Bunting

With the 39th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Central Michigan cornerback Sean Bunting.

Bunting had a solid season in 2018, snagging two interceptions and allowing less than 40 percent of passes directed his way to be completed. He is a lengthy cornerback at six-foot flat, but he is also an athletic cover man who has good acceleration coming out of his breaks. His ball skills are good, and he is good at disrupting passes and high pointing deep passes.

He could use some bulking up in his frame, but he has the makings of a potential starter at the next level.

The Buccaneers needed help in their secondary, and a press-man corner like Bunting gives them some added length and physicality at the cornerback position.
