The Cleveland Browns selected LSU cornerback Greedy Williams with the 46th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The six-foot-two, 185-pound Williams has great length at the cornerback position. He is a fluid athlete who can flip his hips, change direction and accelerate well. He also has great instincts and can diagnose plays and jump routes at a high level. With eight interceptions and 19 pass deflections in two seasons, his production reflects his ball skills on tape.
His biggest weakness comes as a tackler, as he doesn’t have a great motor or strength when bringing down ball carriers.
Cleveland selected Denzel Ward in the first round last year, and they now have a lengthy cornerback to complement him in the starting lineup. Seen by many as the best corner in the class, he will be an absolute steal at this selection if he can improve as a tackler.
