The Denver Broncos have selected Iowa tight end Noah Fant with the 20th overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Fant is the type of tight end that teams love to take a chance on in the first round. He is an elite athlete who has game changing ability as a receiver in the middle of the offense. His size, length, strength, and route running are all borderline elite for a tight end. As a blocker, he is also pretty solid. He does have some struggles and inconsistencies to work out but he is just a really good player with a ton of upside.
For the Broncos, taking the chance on Fant could turn out to be quite beneficial. The Broncos need more weapons if Joe Flacco is going to have success next year.
Adding a player like Fant to go with Phillip Lindsey and Courtland Sutton gives them a nice young core of playmakers. Flacco just got his life made a lot easier going into next season. Good pick by the Broncos for their quarterback.
