Why Broncos fans should be excited about Drew Lock

The Denver Broncos have selected Missouri quarterback Drew Lock with the 42nd overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Lock is still a work in progress in terms of accuracy and decision making, but he has the pedigree and physical tools of a franchise quarterback. The six-foot-four, 228-pounder has an arm that is arguably the best in the class, as he can make any throw on the field.

He’s also a good athlete who can scramble outside of the pocket and picks up yards with his feet. Lock leaves Missouri with 12,193 passing yards and 99 passing touchdowns in his four-year career.

Denver has Joe Flacco starting at quarterback right now, but Lock gives them a potential starter in the long run. While still raw, he can sit for a year under the former Raven while he develops.
