Why BJP-ruled states not getting protesting youth killed in police firing?, asks JD(U) chief Lalan Singh after BJP questions admn failure in Bihar

PATNA: Soon after the BJP state president Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal, at a press conference, raised questions over ‘good governance’ (of CM Nitish Kumar) and administration’s failure during violent attacks on the party offices and the houses of some senior leaders of the saffron party by the protestors of ‘Agnipath’ scheme, JD(U) national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh said, “Jaiswal has lost his (mental) balance due to the ‘aakrosh’ (anger) of protesting students and youth, and instead of allaying the apprehension from the mind of protesting youth, he is levelling baseless charges against the administration.”

“It is the effect of your lost balance that you (Jaiswal) are levelling baseless allegations against the administration. Nitish Kumar Ji is a competent person for running the administration and he has even got an award for good governance. Hence, we do not require any ‘education’ from Sanjay Jaiswal. The administration is discharging its duties,” the JD(U) national president said while reacting over Jaiswal’s allegations that people in the administration and police did not react sharply when the BJP’s offices at Madhepura and Nawada were set on fire during the protest over ‘Agnipath’ scheme.

Earlier in the day, Jaiswal alleged when the BJP office was set on fire at Madhepura, around 300 police personnel were present near the party office, but all remained ‘mute spectators.’

Agitated over Jaiswal’s allegations, Singh further pointed out that violent incidents were occurring also in the BJP-ruled states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. “Why are the BJP-ruled states not getting the protesting youth killed in the police firing? Why is Jaiswal not asking the BJP-ruled states to kill all the protesting youth in police firing? Jaiswal should ask the BJP-ruled states to kill the thousands of protesting students and youth in police firing.”

Singh further asked the BJP leaders to address the grievances of protesting students and youth, instead of levelling allegations against the administration. “The administration has nothing to do either with the JD(U) or the BJP,” he said.

The JD(U), the largest alliance partner of the BJP at the Centre, runs a coalition government in Bihar and also supports a BJP-led government in Manipur.
