Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi was clearly upset with Saturday’s dismal showing against Sheffield Wednesday, and well he might.
To concede four times in the opening 44 minutes is bad enough, but to then have a chorus of deafening boos at the break as his players trooped off, followed by legions of the 28,000 strong crowd walking out adds insult to the proverbial injury.
Forest, defensively so sound for the most part this term, in the league anyway, were cut to pieces by a striker in Jordan Rhodes that hadn’t found the net in 20 months.
Their rank bad defending went from ridiculous to abhorrent when they stood like statues to allow Steven Fletcher to roll in a fourth right on half-time.
That what the straw which broke the back of the camel, Forest’s fans voiced their discontent and many decided 3:47pm was a good time to head into the West Bridgford bars.

Two home games in a week, one draw and a home thumping is hardly what Lamouchi needed but with two away games either side of Christmas to come, he’ll be hoping for a return to form on the road.
After the game, Barry Cooper and Sarah Clapson reflected on what was a dire afternoon for the Reds and their manager.
