Why Arsenal, Man United and Man City scouts might be at Liverpool vs Salzburg

The eyes of the football world will be on Anfield tomorrow as Liverpool take on RB Salzburg in the Champions League.

After defeat away to Napoli, Jurgen Klopp's side will be hoping to get the defence of their European crown back on track with all three points.

And the directors' box in the ground on Wednesday could be very busy if media speculation is to be believed.

The Daily Mail report that Arsenal scouts will be in attendance to to watch Salzburg starlet Dominik Szoboszlai.

It is believed Unai Emery monitored the 18-year-old central midfielder during the summer, and will be dispatching someone from his team to cast an eye over him again.

But the scouting departments of other Premier League sides could well be heading over to L4 too.

Salzburg wonderkid Erling Haaland can't stop scoring at present, with 17 goals in 10 appearances so far this season.

The 19-year-old striker bagged a Champions League hat-trick against Genk in the first group game to announce himself on the European stage.

And he is rumoured to have sparked the interest of numerous top clubs from around the continent.

Both Manchester teams have been linked with the youngster, with some reports even suggesting City have an 'agreement' in principle for his services already.

United are also said to be keeping tabs on his situation, with the MEN stating that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team have scouted Haaland on numerous occasions.

But for now, both teenagers are a key part of a Salzburg side that Liverpool will not be taking lightly.
