Arsenal have acted quickly to appointment Unai Emery's temporary successor as Under-23s coach Freddie Ljungberg has stepped up on an interim basis.
The club will also need to act quickly to appoint a full-time successor as Ljungberg does not hold the required coaching badges to manage in the Premier League for an extended period of time.
Ljungberg has been working on his badges with the Under-23s and then while assistant to Emery and currently holds a Uefa A Licence, which is 'Level 4' of 5.
But without a Uefa Pro Licence - the highest badge available - Ljungberg is restricted to coaching a senior side in a European top flight for a maximum of 12 weeks.
This counts for both domestic league and cup competitions and European competitions.
Therefore, Ljungberg will be unable to take the role until the end of the season so Arsenal would need to appoint Emery's permanent successor before the end of February.
Uefa rules state that a Pro Licence course takes 12 months to complete.
