Where are Phillip and Holly on This Morning? Eamonn and Ruth take over on ITV show

There will be a change of personnel on This Morning this week as Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford step in for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

While they were on the rink for Sunday's Dancing on Ice live show, Phillip and Holly will be absent from This Morning this week but there's nothing for fans to worry about, as it's standard practice for the duo to take a break during what would traditionally be February half term for school children.

Eamonn and Ruth's spell at the helm of This Morning comes after the husband and wife presenting pair were dropped from their long held Friday slot at the end of last year, with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary taking on Fridays from the start of last month.

Eamonn and Ruth's axing prompted a backlash from many fans and, teasing their return to the show, he took to Twitter to post: "If I want to look like Leonardo DiCaprio in the morning better head off and get some beauty sleep! Hopefully see you from 10am @itv @thismorning "

One fan replied: "Cannot wait, miss you two on here so much!" and another told Eamonn: "So so happy that yourself and the lovely @RuthieeL are finally back on @thismorning all this week, you have been sadly missed on a Friday it hasn’t been the same without you both."

Holly and Phillip's break from the show comes after she got the shock of her life last week when Phillip and the This Morning crew sprung a huge surprise for her 40th birthday.

Phillip took to Instagram to reveal that he and colleagues were all waiting for the birthday girl to arrive as the backstage area was covered in balloons to mark the occasion and her dressing room had big light up 40 numbers in with more balloons in there too and presents lined up by her mirror.
