'Why are you sweating when I'm not?' - Barry Gardiner challenges Dominic Raab post debate

As the dust settled from the clash between Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn you would have been forgiven for thinking the drama was over.

Well, actually if we are honest there wasn't very much in the way of drama in the debate to begin with.

But...just minutes afterward we got a taste of the fireworks that could have been.

While most people were working out how to salvage the wreckage of their Friday evening Labour's International Trade Minister Barry Gardiner and Tory Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab went savage.

Appearing on the BBC News channel in minutes following the debate, it is fair to say there was no love lost between the two.

Dominic Raab began the exchange by claiming there was "only one prime minister on stage" and suggested Jeremy Corbyn "can't answer the basic questions on Brexit ".

Mr Raab concluded that only Boris Johnson could be PM after the performance

Well Mr Gardiner wasn't having that.

"Well why are you sweating then, and I'm not?"

"You're supposed Prime Minister had no grasp of numbers tonight."

Warming up Mr Gardiner took offence to Mr Johnson describing himself as a "one nation Prime Minister".

"This is not a one nation Prime Minister, this is a one percent Prime Minister," he quipped.

The top one percent of this nation has seen, in the last ten years, its income go up by 185%.

"At the same time you've got 4 million children in poverty - how do you justify that Dominic?"
