A Premier League fan’s worst nightmare strikes again this weekend - there will be no action taking place.
The top flight will be without any action for two weeks, following the latest round of fixtures, and that is because of the annual winter break.
This two week period applies for all 20 clubs in the Premier League, acting as a break in the season following a hectic winter schedule.
The winter break is commonly used around Europe and it’s top flight leagues, with the Premier League only introducing it in the 2019-20 season, while the 2020-21 version was scrapped following the delayed start to the season.
However, this year, it means that there will be no Premier League games between January 24 - February 8.
Have Your Say! How do you feel about the Premier League having a winter break? Let us know here.

There is one exception, so far, to the enforced two week break, with Watford vs Burnley set to take place on February 5 due to the game having already been postponed twice this season.
But as far as things go ahead of this weekend, there are no original fixtures set to take place, nor are there any rearranged games set to be played.
Premier League clubs have chosen to treat the break in different ways, however.
Some clubs have allowed their players a certain amount of time off, before resuming training next week, while others will continue to train as normal.
Players and managers of certain clubs have already jetted off to various locations around the world to enjoy some relaxing time away with friends and family, while others have been requested to remain in the country.
Clubs like Newcastle and Arsenal, for example, have travelled to the middle east for some hot weather conditioning training camps, in order to prepare for the remainder of the season.
A few teams are hoping to pencil in friendlies too, in order to keep up their match sharpness during the two week period.
The majority of Premier League teams will return to action over the weekend of February 4-6, when they participate in the FA Cup Fourth Round, while the Watford vs Burnley rescheduled fixture will kick-off at 6pm on Saturday, February 5.
Otherwise, the Premier League’s next full round of fixtures will take place between February 8-10.
