When are Holly Willoughby and Phil Schofield leaving This Morning?

This Morning fans may be surprised to see Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield absent from our TV screens in the coming days and weeks.

Usually, Holly and Phil have Friday off, with Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes replacing them.

Today, they are presenting a special episode together, but they will not return as usual to the This Morning studio on Monday.

Much like Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, Holly and Phil are taking a break.

Today will be their last show for a few months as Phil confirmed they're "off for the summer".

A major shake-up behind the scenes of This Morning sparked speculation about Holly and Phil's future - and whether they could head to the BBC instead.

This forced 58-year-old Phil to reassure fans he won't be moving any time soon.

But he did reveal he and Holly would both be taking a break.

It is expected they will return to This Morning in early September to resume their role Monday to Thursday.

In the meantime, viewers could see Rochelle Humes, Ben Shephard and Rylan Clark-Neal present the show.
