Why ambulance crews were spotted at Bramcote Hills Park

East Midlands Ambulance Service has confirmed why a large number of emergency crews were seen at a park.

An eyewitness said they saw six ambulances, including an incident support unit, at Bramcote Hills Park on Wednesday afternoon, August 26.

People were seen gathered around the emergency vehicles at the park off Ilkeston Road.

One person was taken to hospital after reportedly falling.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service told Nottinghamshire Live: “We received a call at 3.18pm on 26 August to Bramcote Hill Park in Nottingham.

"The caller reported that a person had fallen. We sent our Hazardous Area Response Team and a crewed ambulance, and one patient was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.”

Nottinghamshire Police confirmed they had no involvement in the incident and so the extent of any injuries is currently unknown.
