Why air ambulance was seen in Hucknall area this morning

The air ambulance was called out to Hucknall this morning after a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) got the call at 9.18am today (Sunday, January 16) to a private address in Hucknall.

The air ambulance attended, along with paramedics in four ambulance cars, three crewed ambulances, a medical first responder and the Trust's Hazardous Area Response Team.

One person has been taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in a land ambulance.

The statement comes after messages circulated on social media speculating about what was happening.
