'Whoops!' Arsenal fans say the same thing about Granit Xhaka after Switzerland's epic collapse

Switzerland endured a night to forget on Tuesday as they managed to throw away a 3-0 lead with just six minutes remaining to draw 3-3 with Denmark in a Euro 2020 qualifier.

It had looked to be all so easy for the Swiss who, inspired by captain Granit Xhaka, cruised into a commanding lead late on in the second half.

They went in front in the 19th minute and then Xhaka doubled their advantage with a typically thumping finish from distance, although this time with his weaker right foot.

The hosts looked to have wrapped things up with a third 10 minutes from time, but then Xhaka was substituted and the game suddenly turned on its head in dramatic fashion.

Denmark pulled a goal back with six minutes remaining and then set up a grandstand finish by making it 3-2 in the 88th minute.

Incredibly, Henrik Dalsgaard then equalised deep into stoppage time to complete a remarkable Denmark comeback - breaking Swiss hearts at the same time.

And Arsenal fans watching round the world immediately pointed out what they believed was the reason behind the collapse, laying the blame purely on the fact that coach Vladimir Petkovic had decided to replace Xhaka.

Here's a selection of what they've been saying on social media.
