Who would be your dream Everton penalty taker of all-time?

The penalty kick consummately converted by Gylfi Sigurdsson at Anfield last month was the 543rd successful spot kick in Everton history (courtesy of Billy Smith's excellent bluecorrespondent website).

Sigurdsson, Moise Kean and Richarlison have all been successful from 12 yards this season - but who is the best penalty taker to ever represent the club?

Older fans would almost certainly opt for 1963 title winner Roy Vernon, who only missed one of the 20 he took for the Toffees, and the man for whom Colin Harvey once wistfully said "was the best penalty taker I ever saw."

Younger fans might opt for Leighton Baines - scoring 25 and missing just three - or David Unsworth, who also missed only three of the 26 he took - and after leaving Everton nervelessly slotted a last minute penalty to keep his Wigan Athletic side in the Premier League.

Oh, and relegate Sheffield United who had sold him!

But there are three 100% records in Everton's list of penalty takers: Tommy Lawton eight out of eight, Peter Beardsley six out of six and Bob Latchford with three out of three.

Who is your penalty prize guy?
