It's been a while since the previous series of GBBO, so you may be wondering who won last time.

Last year's series was the second to take place following the show's move to Channel 4 and was judged by series veteran Paul Hollywood and Channel 4 newbie Prue Leith.

Series 9 also saw Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding continue as the hosts of the series, but also saw some changes with the introduction of Biscuit Week and the finalists taking part in a challenge outside of the tent!

The Final 3 of 2019 - Kim-Joy, Rahul and Ruby (Channel 4)

The winner of The Great British Bake Off 2018 was Rahul Mandal, a research scientist from Rotherham.

The runner-ups for series 9 were mental health specialist Kim-Joy Hewlett and project manager Ruby Bhogal.

Since winning The Great British Bake Off 2018, Rahul has appeared as a cook on ITV daytime magazine show This Morning, whilst also being a columnist for The Times Magazine and part of the Saturday supplement in The Times.

Originally born in India, Mandal is believed to be single and still resides in Rotherham.
