Who won Soccer Aid 2019 and what was the final score?

There was a rather unusual game of football on Sunday night - which could only mean the return of Soccer Aid .

The star-studded event took place at Chelsea FC's Stamford Bridge as footballing legends and a host of celebrities took to the pitch for charity.

Soccer Aid raises money for Unicef, with money going towards the organsation's work protecting children across the world.

By the end of this year's match, more than £6m had been raised.

It looked like it could have, again, been England's night as they took an early lead thanks to football freestyler Jeremy Lynch , who bagged a brace and was named man of the match.

Superstar sprinter Usain Bolt netted for the World XI just before half-time. An equaliser from former Love Island star Kem Cetinay left it all to play for.

It all came down to penalties and whilst Billy Wingrove, Cetinay and DJ Locksmith all scored their squad, Ben Shephard was the only one to hit the back of the net for the England side after Joe Wicks, Mark Wright and Lee Mack all failed to get the ball past goalkeeper Nicky Byrne.

Piers and his fellow Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid had been rivals going in to the match, as Susanna co-managed the England team with Sam Allardyce.

"This might be the greatest moment of my entire life," the 54-year-old host said.

"Brilliantly captained by Usain Bolt.

"Proud of every single one of my team - a team of heroes, absolute heroes."

And he wasn't letting Susanna get away without a few choice words as he quipped: "My deepest sympathies to Susanna Reid and the England team."
