Series 16 of The Apprentice has seen the female contestants dominate the winning teams of the weekly challenges. This led to the two contestants Kathryn Louise Burn and Harpreet Kaur being the two female finalists of this 2022 season.
On Thursday night, the finale of The Apprentice aired, announcing the winner of the season and who is Alan Sugar’s new business partner with the grand prize of £250,000.
The finale episode saw the two finalists each pitch their business idea to a panel of business experts including, Alan Sugar. Kathryn’s business pitch was for an online matching pyjama business, whilst Harpreet pitched her dessert parlour business.

Previous candidates from this year’s The Apprentice series including Akshay, Brittany, Amy and Harry and others returned for the finale to help Kathryn and Harpteet each with their business plan pitches for the panel.
Who won The Apprentice last night?
Harpreet Kaur was the winner of series 16 of The Apprentice as Lord Sugar was impressed with her tenacity, and determination to see her business grow with his partnership. He pointed at her and said the iconic line that every candidate wants to hear, ‘‘you’re hired’’.
On The Apprentice follow up show that interviews the candidates on BBC Two, Harpreet shared how she has always been a fan of The Apprentice and used to watch it as a child, and so winning this series was a dream come true for her.

BBC has confirmed that there will be another season of The Apprentice, as applications for series 17 have already been taken in.
