Who won I'm A Celebrity… South Africa? The first-ever I'm A Celebrity 'Legend' crowned

After three weeks of trials and elimination challenges, the first-ever I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here 'Legend' has been crowned. Viewers have been watching the action unfold every weeknight after the pre-recorded series hit screens last month.

At the start, fans couldn't help but feel like they should be out doing their Christmas shopping or putting up their Christmas tree due to the fact that I'm A Celebrity usually airs in November. However. I'm A Celebrity... South Africa was a brand new spin-off of the hit ITV reality show that was filmed back in September.

The series has seen a bunch of previously seen campmates whisked off to the new setting of Kruger National Park, as opposed to the usual jungle location in Australia. But with no public vote, they will be competing against each other in a battle to be crowned winner of the 'All Star' series and granted 'legend' status.

Over the weeks, the likes of Shaun Ryder, Andy Whyment, Joe Swash, Dean Gaffney, Georgia 'Toff' Toffollo, Amir Khan and Helen Flanagan have all come and gone from camp after failing to win their elimination challenges.

During the penultimate episode of the series on Thursday night (May 11), viewers saw Paul Burrell and Carol Vorderman being given the boot from camp by hosts Ant and Dec after being the slowest to complete the day's trial. It meant that the pair narrowly missed out on a place in the final, with Phill Tuffnell, Myleene Klass, Jordan Banjo and Fatima Whitbread remaining in the competition for the last show on Friday night (May 12).

It was then teased at the end of the penultimate episodes that the campmates would decide who is next to leave before being left with the final three - which ended up being former cricketer Phil. During Friday's final episode, the top three - singer-turned-presenter Myleene, Diversity star Jordan and former Olympian Fatima, then faced a trial that relied on them being able to count to six minutes, while enduring being covered in critters. They had to sit in a contraption that has their feet in boxes, their hands in hell holes and their heads in helmets.

Around their feet were biting green ants, on their hands are cockroaches and crickets and in the helmets, multiple snakes of varying sizes are added. The three celebrities then had to hit their buzzer when they think six minutes have passed. The two celebrities closest to six minutes then went through to the final while the third celebrity will be sent home.

Then the final two celebrities - Myleene and Jordan - then took on the last trial that separated them and legend status - the infamous eating trial. But it was former Hear'Say star Myleene who emerged victorious and was given the crown.
