he winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 2 has been revealed after the final four battled it out in all lip syncing, all dancing final.
And the UK's next drag superstar is....Lawrence Chaney!
This year’s run of the BBC Three show has not been smooth sailing with Ginny Lemon eliminating herself during a lipsync and coronavirus doing its best to ruin things and forcing production to shut down for seven months.
After the queens returned to the werk room after a lengthy break they learnt that one of their number - Veronica Green - had tested positive for Covid and was therefore out of the competition.
And, at the end of the return episode, there was more drama when week 1 evictee Joe Black, was voted back into the competition by her fellow Drag Racers only to be promptly shown the door again.
Joe was voted out after the girl band task which gave us the pop anthem we never knew we needed UK Hun.
Just Bimini Bon Boulash, Ellie Diamond, Lawrence Chaney and Tayce were left standing in Thursday’s final and were tasked with each writing their own voice for RuPaul’s song A Little Bit of Love and getting to grips with some demanding choreography.
After they all took to the runway for a final time in front of Ru and judges Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton, all four finalists were asked what they'd say to their younger selves as pictures of them flashed up on screen.

The final four then had a change to state their case for being the next Drag Race champion, following in the footsteps of last year's winning queen The Vivienne.
The competition was narrowed to the top 3, with Ellie bowing out in 4th place before Bimini, Lawrence and Tayce fought for the title in a lip sync to Elton John's I'm Still Standing.
And then the big moment came when Ru announced that Scottish queen Lawrence had won, with Lawrence saying "Who's ready for the purple reign?!"
