Who won Dancing on Ice? ITV show has a new champion after close final

After a truly nailbiting final, the winner of Dancing on Ice has been revealed.

After two months of celebrity skating performances, the latest series of the ITV show came to an end in fine style on Sunday night in the live Dancing on Ice final which saw Diversity dancer Perri Kiely, Paralympian Libby Clegg and former Eastenders actor Joe Swash go for glory.

And all three skaters got perfect scores for their first two performances. Joe's silent movie inspired opening number got 40 as did the reprise of his skate to Niall Horan's Nice To Meet Ya.

Perri did a backflip on his way to earning 40 with a skate to Rizzle Kicks' Skip To The Good Bit and got the same score for his series favourite skate to Senorita.

It was a full house of 10s for Libby too. Her and partner Mark got 40 for their Olympic themed routine to Gloria Estefan's Reach and the same score for their Jungle Book skate, Libby's favourite from the series.

After the public vote was frozen it was revealed that Libby and Mark finished third, meaning Joe and Perri went onto skate Torvill and Dean's famous Bolero.

And then, the moment of truth came when hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby revealed that the Dancing on Ice 2020 winners were Joe and Alex , which prompted huge cheers from the studio audience.

The result is a big shock though, with Perri topping the leaderboard every week but, just like him, Joe had never been in the bottom two, so was clearly always popular with viewers.
