Who won Belfast City Half Marathon last year?

What about this for some serious inspiration as the training for this year's Belfast City Half Marathon cranks up a notch.

Last year's winner, Kenyan Gideon Kipsang, a regular visitor to Northern Ireland, defended his title in the 2018 run, winning the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon in a phenomenal time of 1.07.45.

He was followed by Acorns AC athlete, Vincent McKenna, achieving a time of 1.11.09. In third place was Karol Duggan, Donegall Cross Country Champion, with a finish time of 1.11.11.

For the ladies, Beechmount Harriers athlete Geri Short won in a time of 1.26.33. It was Geri’s first time winning the Belfast City Half Marathon.

Last year's run was the largest half marathon ever staged in Northern Ireland.

Could this year's event be even bigger and better?
