Companies that have put growth at the centre of their operations will be competing for glory at this week’s North East Business Awards .

Bloom Procurement Services, the Wheel Company and razorblue are finalists in the Let’s Grow category, having won heats held earlier in the year in Tyneside and Northumberland; Durham, Sunderland and South Tyneside; and Teesside.

The winner will be announced at the regional final taking place at Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield, County Durham, on Thursday.

Bloom Procurement Services helps its customers to buy professional services better and it has big aspirations for significant growth over the next three years.

It has already been recognised by Porge Research as one of the fastest growing professional services companies in the UK. Bloom combines this with a unique proposition for public sector procurement and a real belief in public service.

Over the past two years, it has made substantial investments in business core capabilities; with significant increases in the skills and capacity of its people, new facilities and developing its unique IT system.

Bloom has identified significant potential to grow in the public sector as well as the private sector within the UK and internationally.

Turnover has grown historically between 30-35% each year, and profitability has remained strong despite consistent reinvestment to further grow the business. Record profits of in the region of £550k are expected this year, with further growth into 2019.
