Who will start at RT for the Steelers in 2019?

There aren’t going to be a lot of contested starting spots for the Pittsburgh Steelers when they get together for training camp in just over two weeks. But there is one position up for grabs and that is right tackle.

Marcus Gilbert is gone and this means three guys competing for the spot, two of which started there last season. The three contenders for the spot are Matt Feiler, Chuks Okorafor and Jerald Hawkins with guys like Zach Banner and Derwin Gray as longshots.

The odds on favorite is Feiler. He started 10 games last season in place of an injured Gilbert and finished the season with a 71.1 grade by Pro Football Focus. Feiler was especially good as a pass protector and when you have a franchise quarterback like Ben Roethlisberger, this is a big plus for him.

Okorafor enters his second season with three starts under his belt and 155 offensive snaps played. Okorafor probably has more upside than Feiler down the road but he wasn’t great last season. PFF gave him a grade of only 51.1 and his struggles showed.

But this is a new year and assuming the Steelers make the competition for the right tackle spot open, any guy could win it. So cast your vote and tell us who you think starts at RT for Pittsburgh this season.
