Who will England play in Euro 2020 Round of 16 as opponents confirmed

England cemented their place in the Euro 2020 knockout stages on Monday night before even kicking a ball in their final group game.

Gareth Southgate's side were held to a goalless draw against Scotland giving Andy Robertson's side a chance of qualifying against Croatia before Raheem Sterling gave them a 1-0 win over Czech Republic.

With England victorious on Tuesday they finished top of the table and will face the runners-up from Group F, perhaps a frightening prospect with the reigning European and World champions both possible opponents.

Who will England face in Euro 2020 Round of 16?

England will play Germany on June 29 with a 5pm kick-off at Wembley Stadium

After their win against the Czechs, the Three Lions secured top spot and a tie against the runners-up of Group F, which is Germany.

It was a whirlwind night in Group F, with each of the teams having spent some time during the night in second place.

Hungary led the Germans twice but Kai Havertz and Leon Goretzka spared the former World Champions' blushes to earn a 2-2 draw and stay in the competition.

Meanwhile there was a controversial penalty each for France and Portugal who also ended up sharing the spoils with the same score-line.

France top the group while Portugal go through in third place, much like they did when they won the competition in 2016.
