Who will be Vikings WR3 in 2020?

There’s no disputing the Vikings have two of the best wide receivers in the game in Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs.

After that, though, things get dicey. It’s a role that Laquon Treadwell was never able to fill. And last season, it became even more obvious the team needed depth at wide receiver after Thielen went out with a hamstring injury.

So, who will fill that role in 2020?

Options on the team include Chad Beebe and Bisi Johnson. Beebe hasn’t been able to stay healthy in his two-year career, but has shown potential as a slot receiver. Johnson was a surprise contributor after being drafted in the seventh-round of the 2019 NFL Draft. But is he good enough to be a starting receiver? We’ll see.

We could see the Vikings also draft a wide receiver in the mid-rounds in the upcoming draft.

Free agency is also an option, but the Vikings are pressed financially. Cheap options could include Damiere Byrd, Cody Latimore or Pharoh Cooper, but there is a reason why those options would be so affordable.
