Who Will Be The Highest Rated Players in EA FC 26? Here Are Our Predictions

With the expected release window for EA FC 26 coming ever closer and the club’s portion of the European football (soccer) season at its end, we had a thought. After all, wouldn’t now be a good time to start making a few predictions? Here are our predictions for the highest-rated players in EA FC 26.

Keep in mind that EA FC ratings are known to be a reflection of both a player’s immediate performance and gradual consistency. So don’t expect any huge jumps or big changes here.

Kylian Mbappé (91)

Imge by Operation Sports

Although the French superstar had a few problems settling in during the start of his first season with Real Madrid, Mbappe showed the impact he can have on the pitch in the latter half and was, in many games, one of the sole reasons Los Blancos were still in contention. Given that, we don’t see any reason for the forward to lose his 91-OVR. To put his performance in numbers: Mbappé has scored 31 goals in 34 games in La Liga for a total of 44 across all competitions.

Alexa Putellas (91)

Even if we agree that it might be a bit too early to make predictions regarding women’s football, with the 2025 Euros still a bit far ahead, Alexia Putellas returned to the top of her form and was once again Barcelona Femení’s catalyst during their Liga F and Copa de La Reina title winning campaigns. She also closed the season as one of Barcelona’s top scorers with 16 goals, all while being the team’s assist leader with 11.

Mohamed Salah (91)

Mohamed Salah just had what many consider to be his best season to date, where he led Liverpool to another league title and earned the competition’s golden boot with 29 goals. In addition, he also closed the season as the Premier League’s assist leader with 18. I know this might be an unlikely pick to many, but as a longtime fan, I would love to see the Egyptian King finally break the 90-rated ceiling in EA FC 26.

Aitana Bonmatí (91)

The other half of Barcelona’s heart, Aitana Bonmatí is following her Ballon d’Ór with another highlight year, which saw her being crowned the UEFA Women’s Champions League Player of the Season. An even greater feat if we consider her team’s runner-up campaign. At the time of writing, Bonmatí has scored 15 goals and provided 10 assists in the 24/25 season. But let’s be honest, her numbers are bound to increase during the Euros.

Erling Haaland (91)

To close off our shortlist, we have Erling Haaland. Yes, we know Haaland has had — much like Manchester City as a whole — an off-season, but even with that in mind, his 31 goals for his club alone make it impossible to call him anything but one of the world’s best strikers, and hard to argue against his current rating.

What About The 90-Rated Players?

Even if not as prestigious, getting a 90-OVR is a mark that cannot be overstated; it wouldn’t be fair to leave them out. Here are a few of our 90-rated player predictions for EA FC 26, followed by why we believe each player deserves it.

  • Jude Bellingham (FC 25 Rating: 90): The title’s expected cover star, Bellingham offered a performance on par with last season’s, although his goals failed to leave the same impact. He was also fundamental in helping Madrid deal with the loss of Toni Kroos.
  • Rodri (FC 25 Rating: 91): As an ACL injury left City’s main connector out of the pitch for most of the season, he will likely get a rating reduction to open a spot.
  • Sam Kerr (FC 25 Rating: 90): We don’t believe Kerr’s rating will change, as she still has to fully recover from the ACL injury that left her unable to play for most of the 23/2024 and 24/2025 seasons.
  • Harry Kane (FC 25 Rating: 90): The definition of consistency, Kane kept his numbers and performances up to help Bayern Munich win the Bundesliga by a landslide and get his first-ever national league trophy.
  • Ousmane Dembélé (FC 25 Rating: 86): If we are going to pick one PSG player to get a 90, it has to be Dembélé, who led the team to its first Champions League title in a treble season. As many long-time players can attest, however, he will most likely stay within the 88/89 rating.
