Who will be in Celebrity Traitors 2026?

It’s been over two weeks since Alan Carr emerged victorious in series 1 of The Celebrity Traitors.

(Madame Tussauds London)

Despite a new regular series approaching in the new year, rumours are already beginning to swirl regarding the casting for series 2 of the celebrity version.

Here we look into those early rumours, and who we want to see appear in the castle next year.

While there have been no official announcements regarding the cast for series 2, that hasn’t stopped the internet from speculating.

Bob Mortimer - the nation’s pick

One name that is cropping up is that of national treasure Bob Mortimer.

Bob was heavily rumoured for the first series as well, and after that didn’t come to fruition, audiences will be desperate to see him in the castle.

His unpredictability and offbeat humour would make him a dark horse pick to go all the way.

Bob will be back on the second series of Last One Laughing on Prime video early next year, after winning the first series of Amazon’s hit show.

Which other comedians are in the running?

Other comedians are sure to be in the mix - with the likes of Joe Lycett, David Mitchell and Ricky Gervais heavily rumoured.

Russell Howard has also thrown his hat into the ring, telling Radio X it is the only reality TV show he would consider.

Russell said: "I’d love to do it. It’s the only one. I’ve been offered most stuff. Obviously, Strictly or sort of I’m A Celebrity. I don’t really fancy any of that. But I’d love a go.”

Which actors?

Ruth Jones has also been rumoured to be in consideration, with reports she has been approached already by show bosses.

The Gavin & Stacey star would surely be a fan favourite - but hasn’t commented on the rumours.

Ruth isn’t the only actor who has been linked - the public would love to see Danny Dyer appear on the show too.

Dyer recently revealed that he turned down an appearance on series 1 as he wasn’t familiar with the show.

Dyer said: “I thought it was too complicated but it’s actually just about manipulating people and lot of lying.”

“If the money’s right, I might get involved in the next series.”

Following Niko’s appearance in the first series, a number of online influencers and TikTok stars have been rumoured.z

For the younger generation

Amelia Dimoldenberg is a name to watch, following the popularity of her hit show Chicken Shop Date and a host of red-carpet appearances.

Amelia’s comedic timing and awkward energy could be a perfect fit for the show.

Zoella, Chunkz, and Shabazsays have all also been linked - and the latter hasn’t exactly distanced himself from the idea.

The viral sensation and host of the I’m Rich You’re Poor podcast has liked and commented on a number of Instagram posts linking him to the next series.

One Instagram user posted: “YESSS sign @shabazsays up immediately 🙌👏”.

Which sports stars?

Joe Marler was a breakout star during series 1, and there are a number of other characters from the world of sport rumoured to be appearing in series 2.

Fellow rugby star Mike Tindall, husband of King Charles’ niece Zara, has thrown his hat in the ring.

Tindall isn’t a stranger to reality TV, having appeared on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! in 2022, and he told This Morning: "Having watched that, I think I would definitely enjoy doing that."

An even bigger name would be former England manager Sir Gareth Southgate - who could be one of series 2’s “big dogs”.

(BBC Breakfast)

During a recent appearance on Virgin Radio, host Chris Evans asked Southgate if would take part in the series - and the ex-defender didn't confirm or deny whether the BBC had been in touch.

A whole host of TV presenters have been heavily linked as well

Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary could both swap the This Morning sofa for the Scottish castle, according to online speculation.

They’ve even discussed it together on live TV, with Hammond saying: She said on the brunchtime show: "I would do that. I think I’d be a good Faithful.

(ITV)

"However, when you come across too enthusiastic, it shines a light on you and people think you’re a Traitor."

Both Rylan and Stacey Solomon could be making an appearance.

Rylan told DigitalSpy: “I’m one of those guys that says ‘never say never’ to anything. I love watching it.”

Everyone’s favourite money saving expert Martin Lewis may be in series 2 - if he has the time.

He claimed that he turned down the chance to appear in series 1 as he couldn’t commit the time, before getting major FOMO after seeing the eventual line-up.

One potential wild card could be Monica from Friends herself, Courteney Cox.

A big fan of the series, she is friends with Claudia Winkleman, and has appeared in a promo video with her too.

Who do you want to see in the castle next year? Hopefully, we won’t have too long to wait to find out the full cast details.
