Who were the last four players to be drafted with the 254th pick?

The Arizona Cardinals have 10 selections in this year’s NFL draft at the end of April. They have the first and the last picks in the draft. Over the next many days, we will look at the history of each pick over the last few years to see what type of players have been selected.

We will start with the Cardinals’ final pick, No. 254.

Who has been drafted with the 254th pick in the draft in recent years?

The Cardinals actually had the very same pick a year ago and used it to select the athletic Cunningham out of Cincinnati. He started six games after injuries devastated the offensive line and even he was not immune. He fractured his foot and ended up on injured reserve. The team likes his potential moving forward.

2015: TE Rory Anderson, San Francisco 49ers

There was no pick No. 254 in 2017 or 2016 so we have to go back to 2015 to find the next previous player. That was Anderson, selected by the 49ers. He was placed on injured reserve coming out of the preseason and never played a down in the NFL in the regular season.

2014: CB Terrance Mitchell, Dallas Cowboys

 Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Mitchell has bounced around the league. He has spent time with the Cowboys, Chicago Bears, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns. He signed a three-year, $12 million deal last offseason with Cleveland and he played in eight games, starting seven and picking off one pass.

He has six career interceptions.

2013: TE Justice Cunningham, Indianapolis Colts

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Cunningham spent time on two rosters between 2013-2015 with the Colts and St. Louis Rams. He appeared in four games and caught one pass.
