Who Wants to Be a Millionaire host Jeremy Clarkson in disbelief at 'ridiculous' contestants

Who Wants to be a Millionaire host Jeremy Clarkson was left incredibly disappointed by tonight's contestants after a shocking episode.

Within the first half hour of tonight's show three contestants had appeared on the show, after dreadful games.

The first contestant lasted only eight minutes and went home with only £1,000.

Second contestant Sarah also went out within minutes and left with £1,000 after getting a maths question wrong.

And third contestant Jodie went home with only £4,000 after racing through her lifelines and being unwilling to risk her winnings on the next question.

Host Jeremy Clarkson was scathing about tonight's players as he said: "What a show this one is tonight.

"Welcome back to the most ridiculous episode of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire ever."

And viewers at home were quick to agree with him, with lots of them asking how the contestants got on the show.

@nrbreaksmadrid said: "Quite possibly the worst ever contestants on #whowantstobeamillionaire."

PollyK said: "Well I'm beginning to think I'm an actual genius watching these."

ebuy said: "Is this the worst Millionaire ever?"

Tom Slewy said: "Not the brightest bunch tonight."

And Sarah Esposito said: "Jesus, Mary and Joseph, and the wee donkey. Where did they get tonight contestants."
