Who Wants to Be a Millionaire contestant loses £32k as Jeremy Clarkson blasts phone a friend

Jeremy Clarkson blasted a contestant's phone a friend as he lost a staggering £32,000.

Ara returned to the show, hoping to reach that all-important £1million.

But despite successfully answering all questions up to £64,000, he faltered at the £125k question.

Host Jeremy asked Ara: "Which of these managed the men's England football team for the longest period of time?"

The options were A) Sven-Göran Eriksson, B) Bobby Robson, C) Terry Venables or D) Fabio Capello.

Confessing he didn't know the answer, Ara asked Jeremy if he could ring his friend, Alex, who he claimed knew 'everything about football'.

Phone a friend sees the contestant connected with a friend over a phone line and they are given 30 seconds to read the question and answers and solicit assistance.

The time begins as soon as the contestant starts reading the question.

However, Alex wasn't sure of the answer and tried to work through it with Ara.

Ara told his friend time was running out, but just as xx was about to give his answer the time ran out.

Jeremy blasted his friend, he said: "What is it about 30 seconds he didn't understand?"

Ara decided to take a guess, choosing Fabio Capello.

Unfortunately, this was the wrong answer, with the correct option being Bobby Robson.

This saw Ara lose £32,000 from his £64,000 total.

*Tonight's episode of Who Wants to Be A Millionaire was a repeat.
