Chelsea supporters got a real insight into life under Frank Lampard as the Blues opened the doors to their training session in Yokohama on Thursday evening.
Having already trained in Japan twice since arriving earlier in the week, hundreds of fans got a rare opportunity to watch their heroes up close and personal.
Lampard has a large squad to choose from for next season due to a number of players returning from loan spells and all are wanting to make a huge impression ahead of the new campaign.
The Blues currently have 25 players out in Japan and that's even before you add the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Antonio Rudiger to the mix as they are all injured.
One player that has also yet to play for the club in pre-season is N'Golo Kante.
The Frenchman picked up a bad knee injury towards the end of last campaign but somehow managed to play in the Europa League final despite serious doubts over his fitness.
Kante did join up with his teammates in Ireland last week but trained away from the rest of the squad given there are still concerns over the issue.
The good news for Chelsea fans is that the 28-year-old was back out on the pitch for the training session in Japan, although he was unfortunately unable to take part in the full session.
The midfielder lined up in what looked like one of Lampard's teams for either half of the game against Kawasaki Frontale on Friday as he started alongside Danny Drinkwater and Mateo Kovacic in training.
However, that was about it for the highly-rated player as he spent the rest of the training session working alone with one of the coaching staff when all the team came together for a small-sided game.
One man who was missing from training was striker Tammy Abraham.
The frontman is looking to make a name for himself in west London next season but he was unable to take part due to illness.
Apart from the youngster's absence on the pitch, Lampard had everyone else taking part in the training exercise in front of the fans.
