Who Tottenham will sign next after Jack Clarke and Tanguy Ndombele according to Football Manager

It has already been an exciting summer for Tottenham Hotspur and their fans.

Mauricio Pochettino got his man in Tanguy Ndombele. The Frenchman is set to be the centrepiece of a new-look midfield this season.

Jack Clarke won't join the squad properly until next year after signing from Leeds United. He will enjoy one final season at Elland Road to prepare to play for Spurs in 2020.

There is a palpable sense of excitement around the club and business isn't done yet.

But who else could Spurs bring in this summer? We used Football Manager 2019 to try and predict the future what comes next for Pochettino and his team.

Tottenham transfers - 2019/20 season

Transfers in: £139 million rising to £141.25 million

Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli) - £75 million

Federico Chiesa (Fiorentina) - £52 million

Guido Pizzaro (Tigres) - £8.5 millon rising to £10.75 million

Juan Fernando Quintero (River Plate) - £3.1 million

Not content with signing one of the most sought-after midfielders in world football in Ndombele, Spurs then went and snapped up Kalidou Koulibaly at a price well below what he is expected to fetch in the real world.

Digital Daniel Levy is clearly just as capable of his flesh and blood equivalent.

Federico Cheisa also arrived for a cool £52 million with Guido Pizzaro and Juan Fernando Quintero both arriving from South America.

Quintero had been linked with Spurs during the 2018 World Cup last summer.

(Football Manager 2019)

After reaching the 2019 final of the Champions League, Pochettino really did get his wish for a big summer to push on and compete for the biggest honours in 2020, at least on Football Manager.

Transfers out: £17.5 million

Victor Wanyama (Locomotiv Moscow) - £11 million rising to £12.25 million

Vincent Janssen (West Ham) - £5.5 million rising to £6 million

Luke Amos (Sheffield Wednesday) - £1.1 million

Kyle Walker-Peters (Wolves) - Loan

Cameron Carter-Vickers (Celtic) - Loan

Juan Foyth (Bologna) - Loan

Oliver Skipp (Sheffield United) - Loan

Erik Lamela (Villarreal) - Loan

Marcus Edwards (Rotherham) - Loan

Anthony Georgiou (Bristol Rovers) - Loan

To offset their purchases, Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen were both sold, whilst Kyle Walker-Peters, Juan Foyth, Oliver Skipp, Erik Lamela and Marcus Edwards were all shipped out on loan deals.

Football Manager 2019 suggests that Spurs have only just got started, and there is much more excitement still to come for Tottenham fans this summer.

Just don't expect the club to have signed Cheisa and Koulibaly by deadline day!
