Who Tottenham can get in the Europa League group stage as UEFA confirm seedings ahead of draw

Jose Mourinho and Tottenham will this afternoon discover their opponents in the group stage of the Europa League after sealing qualification on Thursday evening.

Clinching late wins over Lokomotiv Plovdiv and Shkendija in their first two qualifiers, Spurs ensured there was no upset as they hit Maccabi Haifa for seven.

Harry Kane took away the match ball with a hat-trick, with a Giovani Lo Celso brace and further goals from Lucas Moura and Dele Alli sealing the 7-2 win.

Mourinho does have a very good record in the competition and he will be intent on lifting the trophy in Gdansk, Poland at the end of May.

There are a number of good teams in the competition who will also have their eyes on the prize, however.

Fellow Premier League sides Arsenal and Leicester City join the Lilywhites in the hat for this afternoon's draw, with Italian teams Roma, Napoli and AC Milan, as well as the likes of Villarreal, Benfica and Bayer Leverkusen, also contenders.

There are also the teams who finish third in the eight Champions League groups to consider as well when they join the mix once the knockout phase resumes in 2021.

But who exactly can Spurs get when the draw takes place at midday?

Well, UEFA have now confirmed the seedings for the draw determined by the club coefficient rankings (as can be seen below) and Tottenham can potentially be handed a tricky group.

A total of 48 teams are in the draw and they will be split into 12 groups of four, with one team selected from each pot.

As is the case in all European competitions in the group phase, teams cannot come up against another club from the same country.

Here's who Mourinho's men could potentially face in the group stage.
