Leeds United kept hot on the heels of Championship table-toppers West Bromwich Albion with a 2-0 win against Huddersfield Town at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.
Second half strikes from Gjanni Alioski and Pablo Hernandez - his first goal since August - registered a sixth successive win for Marcelo Bielsa's Premier League chasing Whites.
The win did temporarily lift Leeds to the top of the Championship, only to be knocked off the summit by West Brom on Sunday afternoon when they hammered Swansea City 5-1 at the Hawthorns.
With the top two both registering another maximum points haul, they opened up on even wider gap on the chasing pack, with the gap between second-placed Leeds and third-placed Fulham now being eight points.
After 20 matches, Leeds remain the favourites to lift the Championship title in May, with odds of 4/6 currently being offered. Hot on Leeds' heels are current leaders West Brom, who are being offered at a price of 11/8, despite being ahead of Bielsa's men in the table.
