Who Spurs play before and after Champions League games and the fixtures that may be moved for TV

Spurs fans can start planning for next season with the 2019/20 Premier League fixtures released on Thursday morning.

Mauricio Pochettino's side start the campaign at home on Saturday, August 10 with an evening fixture against Championship play-off final winners Aston Villa.

The Lilywhites then face a daunting trip to champions Man City, with an away fixture against north London rivals Arsenal also to come in the first month of the season.

As Spurs finished fourth in 2018/19 they will be back in the Champions League for the fourth season on the trot as they bid to reach the final once again.

Europe's elite competition gets underway week commencing Monday, September 16 and the team will head into the game on the back of hosting Crystal Palace in N17.

Games against Southampton, Watford, Everton, West Ham and Burnley will also come before the team's other five games in the group phase.

Fixtures after Champions League games has always been a major talking point and Spurs do have some tricky away games to come after playing in Europe.

Pochettino's team will face games at Leicester, Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool and Wolves, with home fixtures against Sheffield United and Bournemouth.
