Who sings in the John Lewis advert 2021 song 'Together in Electric Dreams'

Each year the John Lewis Christmas advert is eagerly anticipated and now it has finally arrived.

The retailer has made a name for itself with their lengthy heartwarming adverts normally teamed with covers of timeless songs.

The latest advert was released on Thursday morning November 4 as Edinburgh woke up to a crisp wintry chill, putting us right in the mood for some Christmas content.

Named the “Unexpected Guest”, the two-minute advert introduced us to Skye, a space traveller from another world, who crash-lands at the middle of festivities in the woods, coincidently near the home of 14-year-old Nathan.

Nathan then introduces her to classic Christmas traditions of eating mince pies, decorating the tree and wearing novelty jumpers-though Skye seems quite confused by the latter.

Who sings in the new John Lewis advert?

The soundtrack is sung by Lola Young, a 20 year old singer from London.

Although under the radar, the singer graduated from BRIT school and appeared on Later...With Jools Holland.

She released her first EP, After Midnight in August 2021.

What is the song in the John Lewis advert

John Lewis is known for their slowed down classic and this year's track is no different.

Lola covers 80s classic synth-pop tune, Together In Electric Dreams.

The song was originally released by Philip Oakey and Giorgio Moroder in 1984 for the film Electric Dreams, which came out that same year.
