Who should Man Utd appoint as permanent manager? Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or Mauricio Pochettino

Manchester United continued their unbeaten run under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a convincing victory over Fulham on Saturday.

The win, their eighth in the Premier League under the Norweigian, means Solskjaer has now racked up more League victories this season than Jose Mourinho managed before he was sacked.

Reports on Monday in The Sun claimed the former United striker is set to be named as the manager on a full time basis despite, at the time of his arrival, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino being the overwhelming favourite to take up the post in the summer.

Ahead of their meeting on Saturday, Fulham boss Claudio Ranieri backed his opposite number to take the job on full time: "At the moment he deserves it. He's shown all the players are with him.

"Manchester United's mentality has changed. Why not?

"I remember him as a player, against Chelsea. He was a fantastic player. His career's open, and I wish him all the best."
