Who's who in Quantum of Solace

Daniel Craig as James Bond
Here's James Bond (Daniel Craig). His pride is bruised and his heart is broken following his trip to Casino Royale. Plus he wants answers (a smidgeon of truth). He's a man on a mission - and he's not afraid to shoot first and ask questions later. Photograph: PR
Jesper Christensen as Mr White
Bond's first port of call is Mr White (Jesper Christensen), a smirking, shadowy underboss who hints at the existence of a hydra-headed criminal organisation called "Quantum". But who, exactly, is the biggest, ugliest head of Quantum ...? Photograph: PR
Mathieu Amalric as Dominic Greene
Chances are it's this fellow. Oh sure, Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric) looks nice enough, with his puckish good looks and soothing eco-conscious chit-chat. But it is all just a front. Greene is really scheming to install a gaggle of evil dictators and buy up vast tracts of land for who-knows-what nefarious purpose. Somebody stop him! Photograph: PR
Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter
Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) can't stop him. It turns out that the CIA have happily hopped into bed with Greene (metaphorically speaking). Poor Felix finds his hands are tied, and he must simply lie back and think of America. Photograph: PR
Giancarlo Giannini as René Mathis
Maybe Mathis (Giancarlo Giannini) can stop him. The shifty double-agent is one of the few people 007 can trust these days, although he looks a bit pensive - nervous, even. Could he be doomed to die a horrible death? Better, on balance, to leave the job to Bond ... Photograph: PR
Gemma Arterton as Agent Fields
... assuming that Bond can tear himself away from the women, that is. Here's Agent Fields (Gemma Arterton), a plucky MI6 factotum. She's supposed to be apprehending 007 but winds up tumbling into bed with him instead. And this time we are not speaking metaphorically. Photograph: PR
Olga Kurylenko as Camille
And here's Camille (Olga Kurylenko). She's a surly Bolivian spitfire, still fuming over the death of her parents and swearing revenge on the men what did it. Perhaps she and Bond have something in common. Perhaps together, all being well, they shall find their quantum of solace. Photograph: PR
Judi Dench as M
For all that, one can't shake the sense that there is only room for one woman in 007's life. Meet M (Judi Dench). She's mother, matron and mistress rolled into one. However far Bond strays, however much solace he snaffles and women he beds, he will always come home to M. Photograph: PR
