It's ITV1's Hell's Kitchen, but not as you know it. It's got a new presenter – Claudia Winkleman takes over from Angus Deayton – a new format (one team instead of two) and new rules, with viewers not getting to vote until the final. A dog's dinner? The very thought! Photograph: ITVNot a contestant, of course, but the devil in Hell's Kitchen himself, it's Marco Pierre White! He's the first Hell's Kitchen head chef to come back for a second series, after Gordon Ramsay, Gary Rhodes and Jean Cristophe Novelli took the high road after their respective first courses. Make of that what you will. Marco loved it so much he's come back for dessert. And who knows – maybe the cheese board as wellPhotograph: ITVIt's her off Strictly Come Dancing – It Takes Two, it's Claudia Winkleman. Only a few days into the job, she hasn't quite mastered former presenter Angus Deayton's knowing arched eyebrow. Just one eyebrow, Claude, dear, not both – that just makes you look surprised. It's meant to be ironic!Photograph: ITV
If you had a gun with one bullet in it, who would... that's enough of that type of talk, please. It's the Hell's Kitchen lineup: (from left) Bruce Grobbelaar, Anthea Turner, Jody Latham, Danielle Bux, Adrian Edmondson, Linda Evans, Grant Bovey and Niomi MacLean-Daley who you might remember as Ms Dynamite. In the Venn diagram featuring 'people who could identify this lot' and 'people who don't read Heat magazine', the two circles have very little crossover indeedPhotograph: ITVWhen Anthea Turner was pictured in OK! magazine at her wedding reception holding a Cadbury's chocolate bar, it created all sorts of mischief for her and hubby Grant Bovey. We can only hope this picture of the former breakfast TV queen holding a strawberry meringue doesn't cause the same misery. It wouldn't be a Cadbury's meringue, would it?Photograph: ITVTalk of the devil, it's Grant Bovey everyone! Apparently the gruesome twosome have been offered lots of reality shows before, but this is the first one they've taken. 'Hell's Kitchen is different. There is a purpose,' says Bovey. That's right Grant, it's the daddy of the reality shows, oh yes, the one everyone wants to be on. They have two kitchens – one at either end of their house. Nice work if you can get itPhotograph: ITVWhoops, don't drop it, Bruce! How long before someone mentions former Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar's famous penalty shoot-out 'spaghetti legs'? And will he be making a dish named after them?Photograph: ITVDanielle Bux is a model, former air stewardess and fiancee of former England footballer and Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker. She also knows how to slice bread, if this picture is anything to go by, so she's already got one up on some of her fellow contestants. Her most memorable meal was her first date with Lineker when – would you believe it – she was too nervous to eat. Doesn't say much about the rest of her dinners, thenPhotograph: ITV'My family think I'm crazy for taking part in the show because I always shout at them and tell them to get out of the kitchen when I'm cooking,' says Niomi MacLean-Daley, AKA Ms Dynamite. No, Niomi, they think you're crazy because they all watch Strictly Come Dancing Photograph: ITVThe contestant who needs no introduction, it's, er, it's, hang on, yes of course, it's Shameless star Jody Latham. He might actually know a thing or two about cooking because he has just decided to open up his own restaurant. '[My cooking is] better than average but I'm quite confident,' says Jody. He should probably think of something more exciting with which to advertise his restaurantPhotograph: ITVEx-Young Ones star Adrian Edmondson knows his way around the kitchen – and an animal. He has cows and sheep at home – not actually in the house, I presume – and cooks Christmas dinner for 20 people every year. His dream dinner party guests would be John Lydon – yep, figures – Eric Morecambe (I can see that), Tommy Cooper (of course), Giorgio Armani – fair enough – and Fearne Cotton. Fearne Cotton?Photograph: ITVSome press reports claimed former Dynasty star Linda Evans had quit Hell's Kitchen before it started, but she proved them wrong. She says: 'My favourite dish is whatever your favourite dish is because it's what you like not what I like. I cook for people that I care about and love to see what they love to eat.' We know exactly what you mean, Linda. We thinkPhotograph: ITV
