Who's recruiting: John Lewis and Nissan are creating jobs

Here is our roundup of this week's job headlines...

Retail: John Lewis is set to create around 3,000 new jobs with the opening of 10 new 'mini-stores', according to Sky News.

Automotive: Car firm Nissan is creating 200 new jobs at its Sunderland plant. The company has launched a recruitment drive for engineers and maintenance staff, reports the BBC.

Apprenticeship: The new Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5 hotel will offer food and beverage apprenticeships, with successful applicants having the chance to work under the guidance of famous chef Cyrus Todiwala.

Insurance: Allianz has announced 50 new jobs in Dublin including positions in customer service, IT, finance, marketing and claims, says The Irish Times.

Construction: A £55m housing project in the grounds of a historic Aberdeenshire estate could create up to 275 new jobs, reports the BBC.

Care: The Newmarket Journal reports that more than 100 new jobs are going to be created following the construction of a new care home.

Marketing: DRL, which sells and distributes appliances such as fridges, freezers, and washing machines, is recruiting staff to its marketing, operations, IT and call centre teams based at the firm's headquarters in Bolton, reports the Manchester Evening news.

Call centre: The BBC reports one of Scotland's largest call centre firms is to take on an extra 100 staff in Kilmarnock.
