Research and development: Accenture is creating 100 new highly-skilled job at its new innovation centre in Ireland. The Accenture Analytics Innovation Centre in Dublin will form part of a wider global network of nine centres dedicated to the demonstration, research and development and delivery of predictive analytics. The 100 jobs will be created over the next three years, and the centre is now recruiting employees at all levels, from experienced management scientists and statisticians to graduates, according to Siliconrepublic.
Environment: Plans by Centrica to build a new base for its North Sea offshore wind farms are expected to bring more than 100 jobs, reports the BBC. The Grimsby docks site will be used for workers involved in operating and maintaining wind turbines off the Lincolnshire coast.
Care work: A domiciliary care organisation is creating 10 new jobs with the opening of a new office. Othen Care is looking to recruit extra care workers to its team following the expansion. The new office in Devizes will provide care for adults with dementia, physical frailties, or mental infirmities as well as people with learning disabilities, reports the Wiltshire Gazette & Herald.
Graduate: An IT firm will create 180 new jobs across its offices in Ireland, reports the Belfast Telegraph. The roles available at Version 1 will include senior technology consultants, service desk managers and IT graduate positions, according to Computerworld UK. The new jobs, based in Dublin, Cork and Belfast, will be created by 2013.
Finance: A financial services firm is creating 150 new jobs in Blackburn. P2P Group aims to have a new team of call centre operators, administrators and sales staff for its recently launched price comparison service, Money Return, reports This is Lancashire. There are plans for Money Return to have a workforce of 60 in the next few weeks and 150 by the summer.
Call centre: Credit firm Provident Financial plans to create up to 250 new jobs in Bradford city centre when it opens a call centre. It is likely that the new premises will be established towards the end of this year, with staff being recruited over the next couple of years, according to the Telegraph & Argus.
